IDEX Welcomes Donald Sweeney as President, BAND-IT

May 10, 2021 IDEX announced the appointment of Donald Sweeney as President of BAND-IT. Donald’s career began in sales at Illinois Tool Works (ITW), a company with many operational similarities to IDEX. Twelve years at ITW led to a variety of leadership roles at Marmon Holdings, including Penn Machine Company, Prince Castle, and Marmon Foodservice Technologies. He most recently served as President of Marmon’s McDonald’s Business Unit, leading Marmon, Coca-Cola and McDonald’s to develop the “Freestyle at McDonald’s” self-service touch screen soda fountain, which feature dozens of Coca-Cola drink products and custom flavors.

Over his career, Donald’s passion for the customer and inquisitive approach has supported rapid new product development in many related industrial markets, such as automotive and aerospace. This will translate well to his new responsibilities at BAND-IT.

Donald’s appointment follows the promotion of Karin Overstreet to President of Energy with the Fluid & Metering Technologies Segment within IDEX.
