BAND-IT Supporting Recovery Efforts for Hurricanes Helene & Milton

October 15.2024

Hurricane Helene & Hurricane Milton left widespread damage in their wake, impacting infrastructure and utility services across much of the Southeastern United States. The high winds, torrential rains, and large storm surges have created an urgent need for repair on essential infrastructure.

Our distribution network is stocked with the products needed to assist in the recovery effort with sign mounting, pole and tower attachment, lay-flat fluid transfer hose repair/clamping, and other critical applications as states affected by the hurricanes begin to rebuild.

How BAND-IT products can assist in recovery efforts:

  • Water Removal: Large volumes of water need to be moved fast. Preformed clamps are used on suction/discharge hose assemblies used for water transfer applications. BAND-IT® preformed clamps make hose assembly quick, easy and leak free.
  • Traffic Management and Sign Hanging: When traffic lights and signs have been demolished, re-install them quick with the superior strength of our band and buckle products. BAND-IT® products are the industry standard for quality and performance in municipal applications.
  • Communication Cable Management: When harsh storms damage communications lines, BAND-IT® products can help to secure cable lines and get them back up and running again. Mounting plates and band can be used to fasten support wires and secure loose cables.
  • Heavy Equipment: Debris and wreckage must be moved along during recovery, and failing heavy equipment is not an option. Where other joining solutions fail due to extreme thermal cycling, vibration, and disparate temperatures of joined components, ULTRA-LOK® bands form a bond that is highly resistant to the same forces to ensure the performance of heavy equipment.

From the start to the finish of the rebuilding process, we are committed to supporting our distribution partners so that they can get products delivered quickly to affected areas.

Additionally, our parent company, IDEX, has donated $50,000 to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Helene Relief.
