BAND-IT IS COMMITTED TO POSITIVELY IMPACTING THE COMMUNITIES IN WHICH WE WORK AND LIVE

Our Denver corporate headquarters has collaborated with the Mile High United Way and their United Neighborhoods program to provide the volunteers needed to accomplish projects that will help uplift our surrounding work neighborhood—GES (Globeville, Elyria, Swansea). A $20,000 donation was provided by our parent company’s foundation, the IDEX Foundation, to help with GES neighborhood initiatives. Snapshots of BAND-IT's recent community involvement are below.

Food Bank of the Rockies, November 2017

Over 134,000 meals per day are distributed to Colorado and Wyoming residents via the Food Bank of the Rockies! Our volunteer team came to help with administrative filing – sorting files with intense efficiency and helping the Food Bank achieve over 6 hours of filing in just 3 hours!


The Bridge Project, October 2017

BAND-IT volunteers painted, put up frosted glass window film, and cleaned up the front lawn at The Bridge Project. The Bridge Project is a community outreach initiative that helps youth in Denver's public housing neighborhoods graduate high school and go on to attend college or choose a vocation by engaging them in educational opportunities and facilitating the development of life skills and selfsufficiency.

 


Ronald McDonald House Denver, October 2017

BAND-IT volunteers prepared and served a venerable feast to families staying at the Ronald McDonald House. Honey Ham, baked chicken, corn casserole mash potatoes, salad, rolls and a variety of desserts was prepared and served to families staying at the Ronald McDonald House.


Project Homeless Connect, September 2017

BAND-IT teamed up with over 850 Denver volunteers to help individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness or at risk of experiencing homelessness access vital services. Employment help, medical services, housing resources, clothing, dental care, legal services and much more were available to the over 1,300 attendees at this one-day event. Project Homeless Connect is part of Denver’s Road Home Initiative program aimed at reducing homelessness.


Hurricane Harvey BBQ Relief, September 2017

Houston resident and BAND-IT Sales Manager, Jake Lilley, teamed up with local Houston BBQ pit masters to help feed Hurricane Harvey first responders and victims. The BBQ team cooked around the clock, raised over $30,000 to help fund meals, and fed over 15,000 people! The team was featured on a local news channel. Donations to fund BBQ meals on a national scale in disaster stricken areas can be made to OPERATION BBQ RELIEF.


Vickers Boys & Girls Club, August 2017

BAND-IT volunteers assembled to get their deep clean on, cleaning the Vickers Boys & Girls Club facility for the upcoming school year and the 250 youth that attend each day.


Growhaus, July 2017

We helped The Growhaus get ready for their summer block party helping make decorations and spiffing up the facility.

The Growhaus April 2017

BAND-IT volunteers assembled healthy food boxes at The Growhaus for members of the surrounding community. In addition, volunteers helped pick weeds to spruce up the outside of the building.
